#LAWTAKE - WWE NXT 3/19/24

It’s a brand new Tuesday my folks! Today I’m recapping the WWE NXT live on the USA Network as we get closer and closer to WWE Stand & Deliver.

  • Heel Roxanne Perez is best for business. This is the side we needed. That happy smiley babyface gimmick only goes but so far when you’re in the beginning.

  • Roxanne vs Lyra will be damn fine at the PPV and I can even see Roxanne taking the belt off Lyra. Lyra’s reign has been okay thus far but I don’t see it having the extensive Mandy Rose length either.

  • Alpha Academy heading to NXT to challenge for the Tag titles ala The Good Brothers. Thats fine. They need to rejuvenate that tag division with credible people. Wolf Dogs are on a role for now.

  • Nathan Frazer and Axiom are so exciting to watch even from them having one on ones to now tagging. Where No Quarter Catch Crew go from here is TBD but with the Heritage Cup is in their clutches the group collectively are bound to have more BANGER matches frequently.

  • Sol Ruca is back! She was a bright spot on NXT program before her injury and I’m content to see her try and reclaim the spotlight. That Sol Snatcher finisher is bananas. Blair Not Jamie Hayter Davenport attacks after and sets up their feud just fine.

  • Oba Femi is going to be the big star everyone in WWE pegs him to be. I knew it from the opening gates of this guy in the Break Out Tournament.

  • Dijak is going after the North American Title as predicted and his line about being white so he can’t resemble Shaft was actually really good.

  • Briggs/Jensen have been so interchangeable for me the entirety of their NXT run that now we’re seeing more fire from both as they chase the North American Title. I can easily see the other costing the one that cut the promo on Tuesday the title match in a WWE-twist of fate - setting the stage for their inevitable rematch while also starting an Oba/Dijak feud that should BANG.

  • The Good Brothers and the Magic Killer are best for business in the tag division of NXT. Night, night Hank & Tank.

  • Amazing to hear Booker T make reference to their Japan and TNA Tag Title runs. We are truly in a new era.

  • Ariana Grace turning Gigi Dolin into a beauty pageant character is whatever. Keeps them both busy & now turns them into a strange bedfellow tag team ala Jacy Jayne and her interchangeable lady friend.

  • One thing WWE is outstanding at is breaking up a team that underachieved, having them feud with each other, then putting them in a new odd couples tag team like nothing happened months down the line.

  • DNA & Arsenal being in the crowd for NXT the entire show was dope as hell. Trick Williams showed hella love during his entrance.

  • The Lash/Trick connection is on a heavy hold for now. I see them coming back to this down the line. Noam Dar is a fucking GAWD in the ring.

  • Noam and Trick had a solid showing with Trick picking up a much needed win only to be attacked by Melo afterward to keep the momentum going for their S&D match.

  • Aye man say man… too many RUNNING KNEE finale moves. Shit is as played as the Superkick in 2024.

  • If I didn’t already see these two having a long saga of matches this Spring/Summer I’d say I’m ready for this feud to get into the next gear but it’s definitely just beginning.

  • Where Noam & the gang goes from here is anybody’s guess since all the title pictures are occupied.

  • A solid 7/10 NXT episode from me. Not the worst but also with enough to keep me entertained.
